Hands-on learning center coming to Clinton

If you have hip or knee pain and have wondered if joint replacement is an option for you, then mark Wednesday, April 12, on your calendar. Make plans to visit the Zimmer Mobile Learning Center in the parking lot of Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare in Clinton between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Curious about what an artificial knee looks like? Ever wonder what goes into replacing a hip? You can get an up-close look at orthopedic products, knee, hip and shoulder implants in a hands-on setting in the mobile display, which is free and open to the public.

If you have in-depth questions and want answers from a surgeon, then reserve your seat for Dr. James Womack’s presentation on April 12. Dr. Womack, an orthopedic surgeon and member of the GVMH medical staff, will speak in the hospital classroom at noon. A complimentary light lunch will be served. Please call (660) 890-8451 to make a reservation.

The Zimmer Mobile Learning Center will stop in Clinton on the Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare campus on Wednesday, April 12. Admission is free. The center offers a hands-on setting to learn about knee, hip and shoulder implants.
