Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare Awarded Accreditation from The Joint Commission for Hospice Care

Clinton, MO – (Jan. 11, 2019) – Twin Lakes Hospice, a service of Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH), has earned full accreditation by The Joint Commission. This accreditation shows Twin Lakes’ dedication to providing safe, high-quality care.

“We are dedicated to providing the highest level of care to those in need in our community," says Tony Curtis, Executive Director of Twin Lakes Hospice. "We know it can be a difficult decision to select a hospice organization to care for your loved one. Achieving accreditation by The Joint Commission is another way for you to know we are dedicated to providing the best care.”

Curtis also explained that quality of care, compassion, and the provision of safe care are the top priorities. “This accomplishment highlights the importance we place on the care we give. I couldn’t be more proud of our amazing team,” he said.

Twin Lakes Hospice went through a rigorous onsite survey in early January. During the survey, compliance to high quality care was evaluated.

The accreditation process also provides Twin Lakes Hospice with education and guidance. This helps staff continue to improve hospice care. Twin Lakes is one of the few hospice organizations in the region to receive this achievement.

"Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare is pleased that Twin Lakes Hospice received accreditation. The Joint Commission is the premier health care quality improvement and accrediting body in the nation and now that our hospice service is accredited, it means that all of GVMH’s services meet the same high standards” said Craig Thompson, GVMH Chief Executive Officer. “Staff continue to work together to strengthen our care and service. We want to give the best hospice services for those in our community and I’m excited that Joint Commission has recognized our efforts.”

GVMH acquired Twin Lakes Hospice in July 2018. Since the merge, hospice care has continued to expand across the region.
